Ya it's not exactly true UL approved... But it will ride out anything you can throw at it. If I had the money I'd get an Edge for fair weather in the Summer... But I believe the difference is 9 oz... I'm not spending another $100 to save that, especially if it means risking a bad experience in an unexpected storm. I'll cut that weight elsewhere.

Love mine. I have had it out in 40 plus mile an hours winds and no issues. It has room for two hammocks under it bunk bed style or side by side with spreader bars and in porch mode. You can leave doors open, close em up, and go porch mode. It is the swiis army knife of tarps. Of course I am a Brandon fan boy so I might be biased.

As a noob myself, just finished my 4th hang, i recently purchased one to replace my stock HH asym. Had it out this weekend, 26*F and 33 mph gusts! No problem for the superfly! Pitched it within inches of the ground, sealed the "hatches", and let the sound of the wind put me to sleep! I am extremely happy with the great coverage, low weight, and small packed bulk.

If you get one be careful of letting your wife use it, she might get to thinking that it is hers, don't ask how I know.

I love my superfly, for all the reasons mentioned above. I have not purchased other tarps for different conditions, I only carry the superfly.
