    Basic hammock needed

    Hey all,

Looking for a cheap basic hammock for my wife so I can sling up two hammocks on our little hikes.

    Thanks!

Check the DIY section. There are several ways to make a usable hammock for $30 or less including suspension if you coupon a bit. Some take sewing and some do not. It helps if you have a few carabiners around.
    YMMV

I saw some Travel Hammocks at Wal-Mart for $19 today. Check in the sporting goods section.

Byer travel hammock, Wal-Mart travel hammock both are no-frills, but functional so long as she's under 5' 10" and 250#.

Byer Traveller Lite at Sierra Trading Post, $15.95
(less if you use a coupon code like SITEHOW313 for 20% off. Might be able to find one for more off than that)

Doesn't include suspension. You could use tie-down straps fro Harbor Freight (set of 2 - $4.29):

I have a couple of set-ups like that for day hikes. (and to give to friends to get them started . . .)

    Re: Basic hammock needed

Tableclothfactory.com 60x132 blank... Whip the ends and end up with a 19 oz hammock that will hold 250 with no problem... Throw some whoopies or UCRs on and your good to go...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...
