Clip on Tarp Pull Outs - Work great.

Just got back from 4 day trip and tried my new Clip on Tarp Pull Outs that I picked up from Dutch. It rained for a day and a half along with gusty winds. These pullouts held all weekend and and no ill effects on the tarp when I removed them. Nice addition for your tarp if it doesn't have installed pull outs, for a great price.

Thanks for posting. I've been curious if they worked good without making permanent marks on the tarp.

The trick to these is there is an o-ring in the doughnut. It makes it tacky on the tarp and yet still gentle.

Pole Mod or Tarp Pull Outs

I had 2QZQ add tarp doors and the Pole Mod on my MacCat Deluxe Tarp. I love the extra room, but not the weight of the poles. (@ 5ozs)

Do you know off hand what these weight, if anything? The farther I walk, the less I want to carry.

Not sure of the weight but it seems the shock cord that comes with them weighs more than the clip.

Question Any try these on Cuben Fiber?

I am the proud owner of a Zpacks Cuben Tarp and was thinking about acquiring a Ridge Runner but fitting it in my tarp without damage is concerning me. I saw these clip on pull outs and thought they might be trick but I am still hesitant. Anyone tried these on a Cuben fiber tarp in a fair amount of wind (20 mph or so) ?

I have had them on mine but not in any heavy winds. Curious to see how Cuben stands up to them. So far all testing was in my back yard.

Hey Dutch, do these get brittle in the cold weather?
