Deck Stand
Alright, hanging one weekend a month with the troop just isn't good enough.
I'm looking for a permanent home on the back deck for my DangerBird.
I've built the folding PapaSmurf, etc., stand, and it works, but it just doesn't look pretty enough for momma.
Has anyone used one of these?

Do they fit our cool backpacking hammocks or just the fishing-net POS ones?

The price is a bit high I was looking at a similar product for my back yard and you'll save a bit for other accessories. Amazon also carries a Cypress stand at a better price point.Originally Posted by fuzzie

I'm new to the forum but I built this the other day for my room and it's treated lumber, so it could go on a porch. It's also adjustable so that you can use different length hammocks. hammock.jpg It cost less than $50 to make and it works for me.
Another thought, you might be able to go somewhat permanent put up some large support posts with an arbor for momma and permanent rings for your sling.
I tried a stand designed for spreader bar hammocks with a Byer double and Grand Truck ultralight. It wouldn't work with either one. I would recommend getting the specifications and see if you can plug the numbers into the ultimate hang calculator to see if it will work.
Ya the one I built has permanent eye hooks and adjust from 8.5' - 12' in 6" increments. I used the Hang Calculator to make sure it would be within tolerance but the arbor would add brownie points for sure.
Thanks for tip...bought one for that price. I'll review it once it gets here.
