There are not too many options over here, if you want a fully integrated hammock. Some have already been listed.
Within Germany, I only found the following options:
- Hennessy Hammocks - sold online by Hängemattenshop.com, but they also turn up on eBay a lot
- DD Hammocks - also sold online by Hängemattenshop.com
- Amazonas Hammocks - sold by several shops, but the feedback I read about these hammocks wasn't too great
- Globetrotter sells a home brand, but with that price, I doubt that it'll be good
If you are willing to order in one of the other EU-countries, you can add a couple more choices.
- UK Hammocks - they have their own fully integrated model
- Warbonnet Hammocks - sold by UK Hammocks, but not always in stock
- DD Hammocks - sold directly from the UK
If you don't want to spend a lot of money, eBay is pretty much your best option. On eBay UK, used Hennessys turn up more often than on eBay Germany.
The cheapest option would obviously be diy. If your focus lies on trying out hammocking, you could just build a non-integrated hammock (maybe even double-layer to use your pad), and make a mosquito hammock sock to go with it. With regards to the tarp: go with a cheapo plastic tarp. If you don't go camping in really bad weather, it should hold up. And you get an idea if hammocks are for you or not. If you like it, I'd recommend doing a lot of research here, and go for the best you can afford. Even if it means ordering from the US.
