hammock sleeves/snake skins?

2 & 1. I keep the tarp in two sided mesh skins and pack it outside the back pack. The hammock, UQ,TQ, UQ protector, bug net or sock fit into a 30L compression sack, which fits into my Granite Gear Crown pack.
I keep the head end at the top of the compression sack, attach it to the tree sling, and it all comes out ready to hang. Don't have the heart to poke a hole in the bottom of the compression sack to make into a bishop bag.

I prefer dual silny skins. I love how easy they slide on/off and how they keep the remaining moisture from leaking in my outer pocket (which is NOT a mesh pocket). I just don't see how the mesh ones actually let the tarp dry when there has to be moisture stuck in all the little nooks and crannies after you put it in the skins. The only way I have found to dry a tarp is to set that bad boy up and let mother nature do her magic.

I've also been suspicious of the claims of drying a tarp while compressed in mesh skins. Doesn't seem like it is possible to me.

I think dripping is more of what they are talking about... Maybe not 100% dry... But not dripping wet either...

I bought the DD Hammock sleeve. It is a single sleeve, after a couple of times using it, I understand why the dual skins would probably be preferable. The single skin works fine, but it's a long way to slide one piece of fabric, it gets caught up during the long slide and I think the dual skin would just easier. Not big enough of a deal that would cause me to but new ones, but whenever this skin rips/wears out, I will go with the dual skin.
