    hi, greetings from the Netherlands

    Hi,

my name is Jan, living in a small village in the Netherlands.

My buddy , Born2Roam, also a member here, showed me the way in sleeping and relaxing in a hammock.

I have been a grounddweller for many years, but after staying in the Amazone for a few weeks in 2008, a convinced hammock user.

I have a modified ( zip addition ) Hennesy Expedition combined with a Speer wintertarp.

Busy with ordering a TQ and UQ at Hammock Gear.

Joined this forum to learn more and more.

    gr,

    Jan

Welcome to the forums, Jan. It seems like you have more experience than me. But this is a great place to learn.

It's always great to see other people from the Netherlands here

Hoi Jan, welkom op het forum.

In which small village do you live? And how is hammocking in that area? I am aware of the lack of big woods and any wilderness in large parts of the Netherlands (at least where I lived), so it would be nice to get your perspective.

Welcome Jan from the great state of Mississippi.

I lived in Wassenaar for about 8 months while in college. Traveled all over the Netherlands (Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemborg, England too). I miss that part of the world so much. It was 25+ years ago and I can still smell the fields and the canals and see the tulips and windmills in my mind. Very fond memories of my too brief time there.
