My daughter and I in the woods

It has been a long and cold winter in Denmark. Normally it would be really warm now, with new leaves and spring all over. But alas all we got is ice and snow. Hopefully that will change soon.

The extended winter did not however stop my daughter and I from enjoying a few hours in the hammock, licking a little sun enjoying some hot cocoa.

My daughter Karla is 3 years old and loves the woods. She has been in my hammock a few times but never for more than a few minutes at a time. We drove to a nice lake close to where we live and walked along the lakeside ½ a mile or so. I put up the hammock and we tucked ourselves in and enjoyed a packed lunch and a cup of hot cocoa by the lake.

Afterwards we played “Hide And Seek” and “Catch Me If You Can” for a while.

We spend almost three hours in the woods before we headed back to the car. It was a really good day for both of us and definitely not the last time i take her out to enjoy the woods and the hammock.

AMEN to that Chard ... mine's now 26 and graduating Law School this year.

Well those pictures are gold pal. Don't waste a chance not to spend time with her before she's up and gone! It will happen ..

It's the smile on her face that tells the tale, well done Dad.....Thanks for posting, it reminds me of the smiles from my girls when we are out, such wonderful times!
