I could use 10' myself. It's backordered on APS so I figured I'd try here to hopefully get it faster.

I was thinking about ordering a bunch of stuff that we all need from time to time but is hard to get in small quantities mostly due to the outrageous shipping involved. Stuff like various types of cord, rings, tri-glides, etc. I wonder if that would be useful?

    Amsteel blue.

I was also thinking of ordering some but have not done so yet. Here is a site that does not look too bad (if I am looking at the right stuff). The stuff I DO have is gray colored and I love it (thanks Grizz). Is this about the same stuff? Also, is the 3/16 stuff good enough to hang hammocks?

yep, your grey stuff is Amsteel blue. In grey. 3/16 is thick enough of that stuff to hang from.

I bought mine from Seattle Marine
While the shipping was salty...their price for the 7/64" Amsteel Blue Rope ($0.14 per foot) was the best I could find online.
Finished cost was bout $0.25 per foot...just buy enough to justify the shipping

Thats where I got mine from too, mand and Rice gravy ordered 200 feet of the 7/64 and split the shipping, I think it ended up being something like 25 cent a foot, and it took a while to get it from Seattle to SC, but I got it and I used it to hang my hammock for many nights before finally just switching to all webbing, but anywho, Let me check tomorrow and I might be able to spare 20 feet of ot, not sure how much I have left, if 7/64 is what you are looking for, I'd let you have it for 25 cent per foot (since that's what I paid) plus whatever it costs to ship it, just let me know!!

Have you checked marine supply shops? That's where I used to get all my cord and line and I only had to buy the footage I needed. There is one in almost every town, especially in Bass country!
    Trust nobody!

WOW - Go2Marine raised their prices since last year. I paid 21 cents/ft last fall for the 3mm on some mega sale.

SeattleMarine and APS are the only other places I've ordered it from, but APS hasn't had any in the clearance/cut lengths for awhile. Once boating season starts up again, deals will start popping up again.

Thanks for reminding me that marine shops wouldn't only be in coastal cities. I ended up finding a place near me that their website sells it so they might have it in stock in the store. Crossing my fingers at least.
