Replacing those troublesome Warbonnet cinch triangles

Good solution you came up with. Have you tried folding the webbing first and then feeding the folded webbing through the cinch buckle?

That may work too. I didn't think to try it but I bet it would do the same think. The fact that my folded piece of webbing is sewed onto the cinch buckle gives me a little confidence too. I don't know exactly how we got talking about Dutch's cinch buckles but it doesn't matter who they were made by, to me, they are really a pain to get released.. The ones from rope 1 are smooth and now I can use WARBONNETOUTDDOORS style webbing, which is the nicest I've seen. It's funny, just this morning I was setting around a camp fire with half a dozen hangers that all agreed that the cinch buckle triangles were perhaps one negative thing about the WARBONNETOUTDDOORS stuff... But so far, no one one THIS thread has seen it as a problem. That's cool, too.

I agree that the WB cinch buckles can be a pain at times. For me it takes a certain technique to use them. The buckles Dutch sells are similar to the One Rope buckles. I've never seen them side by side so maybe the One Rope buckles are a bit different. I replaced my stock WB triangle cinch buckles with the ones from Dutch. They adjust easily, hold the stock webbing and are secure enough to not require a back up half hitch.

I have cinch buckles from both Dutch and onrope1. They appear to be identical. Only Dutch can confirm this, however.

I am anxiously awaiting the ti buckles. They will shuffle the deck vis-a-vis hammock suspensions.

I see. If they are identical, they won't hold me up. They slip as soon as I set down on the hammock.
