Question Hammock ridgeline , not tarp

[B]Hello my friends , I hope you are well . I am about to go to a Wilderness Logics Night Owl , I want to put a ridgeline on THE HAMMOCK . I know most of you who use a ridgeline do so yo adjust your sag for comfort but I really dont want to mess with the structure of the hammock I just want a ridgeline because I am used to having them and I want to be able hang stuff from it .
I appreciate your answers ahead of time , have a great day !! SEMPER FI!!

be sure to check out my new school website , all HF members will receive a very nice discount on training and gear from Wilderness Logics .

I added one to my Snipe.......for more sag. Reckon I just would have made it longer to not change the lay.

I also use a ridgeline for my DIY. I use it so I DON'T have to adjust anything and I hang items from it also. The RL is not structural in its capacity, but strong enough to keep the Hammy just right no matter the angle of the whoopie/straps or whatever you would use to hang the hammy. It works for me no matter the distance in trees for a variety of hangs.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

What kind of ridge line do you want? Fixed or adjustable? The reason I ask is because if you want fixed, just make one at 83% the length of your hammock. Easier said than done, but I like having an adjustable one for now.

83% is where all our cottage companies set them at for fixed rls... Hey I checked out your site, you should put more info on there as far as what kind of things you teach and maybe even prices for the different courses you offer. I might take a survival course someday, but I would shop around prior to committing to anything.

Back to the rl though, I recommend making it yourself. The main reason for that is because you will have something you made yourself. Another reason is for line handling knowledge. It's quite a bit of fun to splice. For a fixed rl you only need two different splices. A locked Brummel and a McDonald Brummel...animated knots shows both if you're interested in DIY.
