All about that steath hang. And the Dissapointing Camo.

At first I thought one could get a camo tarp in any design or color. Turns out the more colors you add to sil - nylon the more it falls apart. Hense, until the tech improves the lightest Sil is still a solid color.

So part of this thread is about the fact that we are limited to old fashioned Vietnam green or fake Chinese digital. Turns out to get field proven 3D seclusion or a combination of brown & greys for spring & fall would work better.

Does anyone know where to get better colored tarps,.

I haven't seen anything like that detailed either...believe me I've looked. The only thing close to the colors is this digital camo but in woodland colors...It's a little different then the more green/ light green you normally see. It's PU coated not sil...hope this helps

Cool camo patterns are usually under contract and not available in sil.
    PU coated is somewhat available.
    Multicam is available. Try here.

If weight is not an issue here is a site that has some stuff to check out...some may need to be DIY sil coated or scotch guarded but it has some realistic patterns...http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/ca...FQprKgodnxc1_w

These are good ideas, The Multicam was 2lbs? Ok - not sure why, Arks & Sparks found good material,

Doesn't show the weight or thickness - I can call them.

You can check around for a DPM (British Army) "Basha". It has the dark British camo pattern which in my opinion works extremely well in most US forests. Bashas are approx 6X9 ft and are PU coated nylon, seam sealed, very rugged and have all manner of tie downs, grommets and straps. I do not have the weight handy, but have two at home and would guess they about 1.5 lbs. That weight could be trimmed down if you removed all the webbing (they can be folded in half and used as stretchers).

It would of course not be Sil-nylon.

You could get yourself the issue Brit Basha in DPM. I forget the dimensions, but I have used it as a one man shelter (baker tent style set up). Brit DPM, even with all the new fangled digi cam out there, is still one of thebest camouflage paterns around.
