What is the biggest upside with the XLC? Do you get a flatter lay? I am just returning to the wilds after a year of 5 spinal surgeries. I have a WBBB and a WBRR and like them both.

    Cheers,
    Doc

1 - Versatility - you can go with a bug net, no bug net, or with the sock.. your choice.
2 - Similar to the WBBB you get the shelf (if you use the bug net).
3 - I thought the sweet spot for a flatter lay was a bit bigger.. I side sleep some in my WBBB & noticed it was easier in the XLC
    4 - slightly better view

If you like your WBBB & WBRR, then you might just be fine with what you have.

If you're expecting rain you better have a tarp. The top cover is only for added warmth, it won't protect you from water.

    +1

The top cover will, however, protect from light/dry snow (especially the kind we get here in the Rockies in winter).

What is that? Is that a rainfly? Or a tarp? Why have I never seen that before? Can anyone tell me the name and who makes it? I don't see it on WB site
