Yes what a wonderful trip it was......It was such a great trip filled with beautiful views, great fun, up's, down's, great camp fire conversation and best of all some of the finest people I have ever met. It was awesome to meet new HF members, and as always a time that was well spent.

I had the pleasure of hiking with some wonderful new people that I have never met before, and one of my mentors, yes you WV! I feel so privileged to be able to go on these outings as I always learn something new, and have such a wonderful time. I hope to meet you all again soon, and a big thank you to XTrekker for putting it together.

I will gather up my pictures and post a report on my blog for all to see, I will also post a few pictures on here as well once I have some time to go through them all. Sorry I have been super busy with work and getting back to "normal" life (if there is such a thing????).

And as I always say "It's always an Adventure" and this time it didn't disappoint.......

Sorry this had to go in a separate post!

I also want to make mention that I had the absolute pleasure in hiking with a fellow brother....Hickery it was wonderful to hike with you and talk around the camp fire about our working environments (departments). I hope I get the honor of doing it again in the future!

    Be Safe Brother!!!!

his had an aluminized/reflective backing. If its breathable and has a dwr I was thinking of a DIY project with it.

Ataris, that aluminized ripstop fabric came from DIYGearSupply, but I checked their web site and didn't see it still available. It doesn't appear to be breathable, but I haven't tested to see if it's waterproof. I got that piece about the time there was interest on the forum for reflective fabrics, especially Thermoflect. I also got 3 sheets of Thermoflect and made a synthetic top quilt with a silk liner out of one of them, but I had to run the Thermoflect through the thread injector without thread about a hundred times to put lots of little holes in it so it would breathe. That worked, but not spectacularly. You might be able to do the same thing with the aluminized ripstop. I can send you some thermoflect to experiment with or even part with the green/silver ripstop, but as I said, neither one is really breathable.

    More info here.
