I just purchased a Hennessy Hammock Explorer Deluxe Asym Zip this weekend and tried setting it up in my backyard. The first problem I have is how high on the tree I should place the straps and how tight I need to have the hammock on the straps. The second issue is how should I tie down the side lines on the tarp and hammock? Thanks

Thanks for the video and link to the post! I saw the Hennessy video yesterday in a rush to watch and set up. I've read the post and watched the video again today to get better knowledge of how to set things up and I think it is just something that will take a little practice when not rushed and find my stakes to help with the rain fly.

This is the method I use on my Hennessy and I'll never go back. It makes everything SO much easier.
Thanks for the calculator and the video...I will check out using the new setup as it looks really strong and secure.
