I would love to meet up with you/ the group but since I work Friday untill 6, I will only have a short bit of sunlight to work with, I prefer not to hike in the dark whenever possible.

Ive only been to zaleski one time so maybe I missed it, but is there a trailhead/parking area close to H so I could show up around 8 and hike in?

I don't think so MC, your best bet would be taking the road up and hitting the trail into H. Might be a little safer.

Luke and I did the outter west loop up to H last winter and did the last half to H in the dark with snow and I. I don't think H night hike from the road in would be too bad at all.

If the connector trail is still closed you can park on Big Four rd just north of the trailhead parking lot. There is a small spot on the left side of Big Four about a hundred yards in on the right. Go back down Big Four and cross the main rd. Turn left and hike up the side of the rd until you see a marker pointing you to point M. Hike South on the east side of the middle loop to point 11 then take the temporary trail north to camp H. If you park on Big Four just leave a note on your dash that you have registered and what camp you are located. Its a shorter hike than the trailhed to H.

I've done what Hammike describes, parking on Big Four Rd, the last couple times out to Zaleski with no problems. Definitely recommend it for my favorite site, H.

I'm having dog sitter problems so it's probably a no go for me this weekend. Need to get them to the vet for their shots so I can kennel them when I need to.

Re: Another Ohio Hang for April?

I will probably be leaving my house around 9:30 or so tomorrow, since I like an early start. I'll probably take the "long way" to site H.

It'll be a lazy day for me on Saturday, so who knows what time I'll be strolling into site C. I'm tossing around the idea of hiking in my fivefingers again, so I walk a little slower in them.

If I'm the first person at C on Saturday, I'll grab our usual spot.

HamMike, Slo, you guys still planning on coming out on Saturday?
