Got a pair of these this week. Very nice! Mine weighed 5.6 ounces, probably due to the solid ferule in the head. Still weighs just less than half the stock bars.

7 pound Summer Base Weight with Warbonnet RidgeRunner

I'm 200lbs wet and use these poles. Have had 1 head section break, but it was likely that I hung the WBRR too tight. Going on 2 years and lots of hangs with these. Now have the ZimmerBuilt Quickstep pack and a 7 pound summer base weight even with the WBRR ZimmerBuilt QuickPack.jpg

Ironically his hiking poles break down to 28 inches (see URL above) The foot section of the RR is 28.5. I might buy his hiking poles if he could fashion a removable ferrule with the hammock attachment. If so, we've shaved the weight of the pole set almost in half. Must of the adapter setups add weight and require the use of heavier hiking poles. The RR pole adapters weigh .3 oz or 9 gms. Joshes hiking poles come with the z-pole tip option, which fit perfectly in the RR pole to hammock adapters.

I've also been thinking about an 11 inch spacer which will allow the use of his RR foot pole on the head end. The 15.5 inch foot sections will fit into a summer weight back pack (Zpacks Zero / ZimmerBuilt Quickstep, ...) or adventure bike panniers but the 21 inch sections will not. If the head pole snaps it will likely snap in the middle and only the middle will need to be replaced.

Impressive base weight! Do you have any youtube videos or gear list posted anywhere? I'd love to see how you put your kit together.

Not hodad, but we have similar base weights. I'd love to see a gear list as well. I can't seem to get under 7.5lbs without sacrificing any more comfort items Here's mine https://lighterpack.com/r/47b9yl

About to pull the trigger on these, what are people ordering the 2 or 3 piece headpoles? Any difference in sturdiness?

First, you are way more than 200 lbs.
Second, I have the same set and they are great. I have used them almost every night for the past 2.5 years with no problem.
