    Carbon Fiber spreader bars

Here are some photo of the Carbon Fiber spreader bars I received today at 5.23 ounces for the set there half the weight of the stock set. They were pricey at 80 bucks for the set complete. They were made up by Josh at http://www.rutalocura.com/products.html

Did he make them the same length as the 2 piece on the foot end, and 3 piece on the head end with the 4" extension in the middle?

I had him make them up in 2 pieces head end and 2 pieces foot end. I hated trying to up with that short section.

Nice solution! Five ounce saving for $80; sounds good. The quality looks good too. Where these a custom order?

Same diameter as WB's spreader bar width? I am thinking .625 diameter?

He makes CF tent poles, but yes I called him up told what I wanted and sent him a couple pics. They feel as strong as or stronger than the stock ones. They are made from .600 dia. carbon fiber.

Was Ruta Locura kind enough to give a weight limit on those spreader bars? I'm already pushing the weight limit on the ridgerunner..... so I doubt those would be a good option for me until I lose a bit more weight....

but dang eaglej! you got me in serious want mode.

The carbon spreader bars will be a lot more stronger than the aluminum. By far, more stronger. The problem with carbon is its just more expensive than aluminum.
