That is awesome! I'm definitely doing that just for the fun of it on my next long ride. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for the link! I recently did a single tree hang using a similar method I found on YouTube. It uses a post instead of a bike and a fallen tree instead of stakes.

I made a thread about it here and included the video from varavild's channel.

Your setup makes it quite difficult for someone to sneak off with your bike while you're napping!

    Re: No trees pictures

Another thing to consider is the handyhammock, it can be pitched without anywhere http://www.handyhammock.co.uk

    Here is dejoha's review. http://theultimatehang.com/2012/12/h...-stand-review/

It think that just jeff has done a review on it on his site as well.

That wheel has to be a pain to pack around all the time. Do you strap it to the outside of your pack or inside?

This is my favourite no trees hammock pic (but obviously I'm biased)

Needs our sand anchors to work but you can literally hammock in the surf - very restful

    fence intersection

Where two barbed fences meet at a 90 degree angle, the one corner post and the next post on both fences are reinforced. Hang across the diagonal, making a triangle. Rig late, leave early.

Put water bottles or other heavy items in the hammock when you are not in it, to keep it from blowing into the barbed wire.
