Just for the sake of clarification I want to make sure you know that straps always go on trees so to not damage them. Whoopie slings are wonderful for adjustments, but you will still need a strap. I imagine you already know this, just double checking.

I did but its a notable rule to reiterate!

I see my tie downs are 1" polyester webbing used from a ratchet kit. I noticed a lot d people are using 2" is it for the trees sake or safety/sake?

Tree's more than safety. My 1" polyester is rated for 3500+lb. I read somewhere recently that there are some sites that require wide straps. They discuss it some in this thread.

So if I lay diagonal, it is relatively flat. Although, it feel like my legs want to tip out one direction the. My shoulders want to roll out in the opposite direction. The sag is kind of flat. I may toy with making t more banana shape.

Could it just be too short of a hammock? It said 109 IIRC. Either way its still comfy. Just not sure IDE trust an overnighter in it. Ill be taking this thig with me on vacation next week!

I have two of those hammocks and they are on the small side. They are 9.5x4.5 feet.
A bigger hammock will make a world of difference for you. The hammocks I make are 11 feet long and 5 feet wide.

Ah ok. Yea I was using a huge bed sheet as a hammock before I bought this one. No complaints though since the price was right. Ill definitely look Into a bigger size before I try any overnighters. Mainly want to try it for cycle touring.
