    Question free standing hammock supports

    Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a free standing hammock support?
    Something to use if there where no trees. I was thinking 2 poles that woud pound into the ground,and the suspension would have metal ring with a post attached to it like the old tent style rain fly attachments.....? I'm sure there would be a weight limit.

    Checkout www.handyhammock.com. I haven't seen them in person myself; however the videos on their website look to be very promising to me.
