Bugs, Hammocks, and Bacon *PIC HEAVY*

The "ant" I think is really a wingless wasp. And yes they do sting.

Great trip report! I love the bugs too. I have an app on my phone that helps me to ID them because I HATE not knowing! lol Great pics. What kind of camera do you carry?

I figured my cleaver was plenty enough power.
Stay tuned though, I plan to do an axe only trip in the future.

I will be sure to avoid them then. lol
They did have some very agressive looking nibblers though.

Thanks! I feel the same way, what is the name of the app if you don't mind me asking?

I use a Canon S100. It's been very good to me, and shoot decent video as well.

Very nice. Every thing in your trip report plucked hard at my yearning strings. I am so ready to get out there. Thank you for sharing .

I have the Audubon series of field guides on my iPhone. Love them. Well organized and easy to understand.

Thank you, I will look into that for my droid. Would be so much easier then lugging around a book that I'd probably lose outdoors.

Thank you! I do my best to document these trips in detail, to share with you guys and gals.

Since no one has noticed it, I will point it out. As I did it as a subliminal joke. There's something funny in one of the photos showing my boots.
