I just form a loop with the shock cord and use a cord lock to adjust tension. I loop thread the hammock end through the loop of shock cord and it rests against the hammock end. Once the tension is adjusted I rarely have to adjust it again, at least not that week.

Hmmm no cord locks on mine, guess I need to get some.

Remove the (green) strings on the uq sides if you don't need/want them. They're just there to be thrown over a ridge line to pull the uq to a more snug fit if needed.
Attach the uq bungees to your hammock suspension system on each end of the hammock. If you don't want to use knots, get s-biners or cord locks or something similar.
Get in hammock to feel if the uq needs adjustment in position or tension. Adjust accordingly.
    Done!

Set up the whole thing and play around with it to see what works best for you.

I have used the solution that user 'fotografiskt' from Sweden offers in the following post

    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=33712

It comes down to using the 'Triangle thingies' that several companies sell, or you can make your own:

    http://gear-report.com/how-to-make-d...riangles-myog/

I ordered mine from UKHammocks.co.uk after trying this method with some triangles I made from some paracord.

There seems to be a lot of debate on this forum whether you should use the triangle thingies or not... I for one am very happy with them.

Slightly off topic, but I didn't think it was worthy of a new thread:

How are you guys determining how long to make your shock cord if it runs through channels on the uq and you expect to anchor it at or near the ends of the hammock?
