    How to attach the UQ

So I got this hammock given to me but I'm a bit lost on how to attach the UQ! I checked the manufacturer's website they don't have much in the way of set up videos or anything.

Most UQ's have a shock cord loop at each end. simply attach this loop to the suspension via "s" hook. Then adjust the tention to keep it snug against the hammock (when you are in it).

I cant access you tube at work so I can't supply you with the link but forum member Shug has a video that specifically talks about and shows you how to attach an UQ to a gathered end hammock. It's a great video as well as he has many other information videos that shows that how to of hammocking. Hope this helps out. Happy hanging.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Got it, I think I was reading too much into it. It was easier than I thought.

Just tie the shock cords at each short end of the UQ to the hammock suspension where it enters the hammock fabric. If the UQ sags too much, attach the shock cords a bit further out on the suspension. If the UQ still sags too much, attach some string to each of the gross grain loops sown to the edges of the UQ, throw each string over the ridge line / bugnet, and tie the other end of the string to the gross grain loops found on the other long edge of the UQ. Make sure you can adjust the string lengths easily, so that you can adjust the sag of the UQ.

    How to attach the UQ

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366456421.751574.jpgb Here is where I run into confusion. I thought there was supposed to be some "S" clip or something for me to attach this thing to the hammock. That picture shows the end. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366456503.515486.jpg the second shows the side.

I do believe the snugpak uq is suppose to hang differently then from our normal gathered end hammock underquilts.. I do believe that there is a youtube video and there might be a link to one on the ddhammock website.. if memory recalls it would actually suspend from the tree,... good luck
