Which tarp with the BB Double 1.7, Edge or Mamajamba?

I'm getting ready to purchase a BB Double 1.7 after reading all of your fine reviews. As for the tarp, with having no experience my gut says get the Mamajamba tarp BUT I'd also like to save a few ounces, if it's just not necessary. Anyone care to input that has used the Edge or Mamajamba, I'd be very grateful for input. Mostly Indiana hiking, late spring to early fall, would like to do some of the AT next year.

Also been looking at Clark NX-250, but seems awefully pricey, BB 1.7 seems to be good Eq for the cost, agree?

The BB is a GREAT choice. It's my most comfy gathered-end hammock.

Both would suit you well for sure, especially with basic 3-season use. I personally have the mamajamba because I like just a bit more coverage, but the Edge is solid, too.

If you really want to lighten up, a cuben fiber tarp is the way to go - if you can afford it. HammockGear.com has some great options.

I have the BB Double 1.1 for sale and a MambaJamba if you want them. Shipping CONUS included.

WB Black Bird Hammock - Dbl Walls, 1.1 Olive Brown - 25.5 oz - Brand New - Paid $175, Asking $140

    WB MambaJamba Tarp - 132" x 120" Olive Brown - 13.5 oz - Brand New - Paid $110, Asking $95

I also have an overquilt and underquilt too if interested.

I like the MambaJamba because of the size. To me, it's got enough size to be flexible and accommodating. It's a great tarp.

Sounds like a good deal. How would we handle that? even 235.00 still good amount of money, any safe way to do the sale?

For weight conscious three season use go with the edge. Plenty of protection if pitched appropriately.
