    heading out and thanks!

Thanks everyone for all you help and info while I sorted out my hammock set up. I am leaving thrusday or friday, 15th or 16th for springer to start my thru hike on the AT. No later than the 19th in case i freak out and need a day or two to collect my self.

my set up is the ENO hammock with their straps
    a speer pea pod
    a mac cat deluxe tarp
4 super lite MSR stakes and some various parachute cords
    a 35 degree synthetic bag

should be fine, I hope, as testing here in NC has been in the 40's at nite this past week and I was fine without the bag. and really comfortable ( i fell asleep one afternoon doing a test hang in just a few minutes )

so thanks again everyone! here is my trail journal

Man, I am so envious of you guys beginning your thru hikes. I sit at work a lot and think "I could be on the trail right now.."

Good luck, jettjames, and best wishes.
