Anyone hung here before? Any recommendations for hanging here?

The first and last time my yet-to-be wife camped together was at Raven Cliff Falls in November of 1972. The area was privately owned then and we drove my VW bus a mile or so down a logging road where we camped. We were expecting and prepared for about 30*. It went to 7*. Won't do that again.
The area is truly beautiful. My son and I camped about ten years ago at a camp ground just across the highway from the trailheads going to the falls and dayhiked the area. The trail that goes down below the falls is aptly named the "Dismal Trail"...but, it's not necessary to hike that portion to have a good hike. If you like hiking in that area, this is a good one.
Sometimes even a Blind Hog finds an Acorn
I hike there a lot.
Youll wanna stay low from the top, down near the Rhododendron laurel thickets.
I gets real windy in the evening.
awesome... thanks I'm planning to hang there with some some friends once it warms up a little again!
I've hung there a few times. Really pretty place. Way too crowded on the weekends and holidays as it is said to be one of the states most popular trails along with Panther creek which is my favorite hanging area.
Here's some pics.

"Every day above ground is a good day"
I've never camped there, just did the day hike to the falls. The camp sites had all the hallmarks of big redneck parties - bonfire rings and the occasional empty beer bottle. I would imagine if you go during a prime camping season it would have the potential to get loud and obnoxious. If you're looking for a party, that might be a good thing. I personally like a little more solitude when I'm camping, but that's all down to personal preferences
I love Panther Creek too! I'm living in Toccoa if you know where that is. Panther Creek is only about 15 minutes down the road
oh yeah! they made a memorial park for him... pretty interesting actually. It's just awkward to see a very large statue of a large man in spandex.... yikes
Funny, I thought this was the world's strongest man.
