I use Sony Movie Studio Platinum for video editing, $40 on Amazon.

I was helping him load an file from the Debut software, which Brucie turned us onto. It is a free screen capture software - pretty nice, actually.... You can capture in full high def and export to many different file formats. The opening scene uses this software - the map with the red line on the trail.

I'll add that I last tried Adobe Premier Elements 11 and had nothing but problems with it-me? my system? Dont know, it just crashed 5 times and was a frustration.
Sony Movie Studio---esp. if you watch TallPauls instructional vids on youtube is a pleasure to use.
