I tore a GT UL almost all the way across, so here is some free polyester for the first poster. The two pieces are about 44" and 64", so maybe you could make a gear hammock. I don't care what you do with it, don't even bother to tell me.
Post here first, then PM your shipping address to me. Yes, I will ship it slow with no tracking 'cause I don't care when or if you ever receive it.

Got the hammock today and it was as advertised, one long rip side to side.
Hope you were not in it when it happened.
After looking at it I decided it was not repairable except as a gear hammock but as I have been cleaning up my gear I decided it would make 2 excellent large storage bags; one of my TQs and a FL UQ.
