    Question Noob w/ a question

    Dutch,

I'm just getting into hammocking. I will probably be getting a Skeeter Beeter Pro or ENO Doublenest for my first hammock. One of the first mods i haven seen done with these is upgrading the suspension.

My plan: Is to buy some dutchware cinch buckles w/ amsteel continuous loops and webbing.

My Question: I'm a fairly big guy (300+) and was curious if there was a weight rating on the cinch buckles. I'm pretty certain the amsteel will be fine, but not so sure about the buckles. Also, i'd get the dutch clips but the rating on those is 250, i'd rather not push it.

    Thanks for your help.

You can rest assured that anything Dutch will be safe for you. The weight ratings are for a safety factor. IIRC he tested his Dutch clips to over a 1000 lbs or something like that.

    Thanks Bubba!

Figured it would be strong enough. Just like to double check.

You're welcome. I've used most of Dutch's gear when I was pushing 300 lbs ( I'm 250 now). Many people have the same experience. Have fun.
