    Sincerely,

Dave-o sorry I don't have much to offer on those two questions. For one I'm a back sleeper and two I haven't had a chance to use a top quilt in it due to I just got the hammock and its 80F outside. When I have a chance I will try laying on my side and will see how it feels and comment back.

    Sincerely,
    Red

Do you feel that the edges need to be grossgrained or would a double rolled hem be strong enough?

Rolled edges would be plenty strong enough. You would want to adjust the depth of the curve to account for the material in the hem.

Grosgrain is generally done on Cat curves as it is a little more tricky to roll a hem and also gives it a nice clean look.

I have the same question. Why add the weight?
Perhaps have that as an option when purchasing.

I would definitely like to see a full blown review, w/pics of course, on this hammock.

    Me, too

I would love to see that as well. Of course, my opinion doesn't count, so I will only relay what has been communicated back to me.

The only feedback I have really received so far on it, has been mixed depending on its intended use. Hanging is so much more subjective to personal tastes, than tents are, so you have to realize that what someone hates, someone else probably loves.

Here is what I've heard back so far.

Those who use it for purely a place to sleep, have liked it. Some have commented it lessens calf ridge pressure, the floppy sides and enclosed feeling, and they get a flatter lay.

However, those who like their hammocks to double as lounge chairs have found it doesn't work as well for them. The binding on the edges tends to become fairly rigid when loaded with weight. This causes it to dig into the legs if you are lounging in it. Once I got that feedback, I decided to also offer the no binding option. This helps that, but some rigidity remains just due to the nature of the curved material.

    Conclusion - Results May Vary

I'm pretty sure I have an 11' version tucked away. If someone wanted to do a review on it, I could send it their way.
