Seriously, think about it; if you got knocked out in that cold weather you'd wake up (if you're lucky) already hypothermic and likely too far gone to do anything about it... Serious stuff.

As for staying warm, I cut the sleeves off t-shirts and wear them under my helmet when I ride. I pack a few so that when I soak one in sweat I can swap it out to dry. As long as I'm moving they keep me plenty warm in cold weather. If I stop I put a hat on.

I'm 26 and a product of the 'extreme sports age' so believe me it hurts for me to be online chastising people about helmets...
Good tip on the t shirts will give them a try. Cheers

Enjoyed that, I've been looking at getting a fat bike setup for the last 12 months, very tempting.

Just checking out your other vids, looks like a good channel you've got going

I just did it and I don't regret it one bit. I have a lot of wilderness bush trails here and it's the perfect fit for me I don't do roads I like bush trails and I will be using in the winter as well. Cheers and thanks for watching.

Re: Hammock camping with a fat bike

Those wheels look amazing! Would love to give that a go one day!

Great trip report too, thanks for taking us along.

I have to agree with oldragfreeze although I still don't heed my own advice lol, I used to do a lot of bmx riding and most of my injuries occured when you least expect it (which means I wasn't paying attention) and trust me I've had more than my fair share of injuries.

    Very cool!!!

Down here in the everglades the closest I get to snow is shaved ice.

I like the fat bike tires, I see them working for sand as well.

I want a fat bike and I want one of those raccoons too! Both cool as! All those pine trees at your camp site looked great, perfect hammock trees. Great way to end your trip report, with snow falling all around you! Thanks for the video, ExpeditionMarc!

Cool rig man. What's the story on the fat bikes? Is all the suspension in the tires? I want one and I don't even know why! Thanks for sharing.
    Good luck,

....yep, my son came home the other day without his helmet. Seems he forgot to pick it back up from his "ditching spot". Wonder how long that's been going on?

Great trip video, thanks for sharing. I had never seen a Fat Bike.
