    Re: Hello from Turkey

    Welcome from Scotland.

Turkey is a beautiful country, I've been 6 times although I don't think I'll be back in the summer... night time temps never dropped below 39c (102f) at night when I was in Marmaris 2 years ago, that is too much for me

The scenery is awesome and the people are great (especially when they want to sell you something )

Can't wait to see some trip reports!

Gunner76, is good you taught her driving here is crazy (New Jersey driving x10), Fronkey; yes there is alot here haha I give my Bulova watch to a friend a couple months ago, he was very impressed that it was not a regular Turkish watch. To all of you others, thank you for the welcomes. I have several more picture for you all, please enjoy there is only 1 other hanger I camp with, others only use tents. We call ourselves tree people

Breakfast, mountain crab (boil much to get rid of parasite)

Typical goat grazing terrain of south Turkish mountains, good for hike

Me and cup of trail goulash best Russian-American can make in the backwoods, I see alot of fellow hangers are military, 5 years active duty USAF, old issued UCP uniform and not properly returned canteen cup

my comrades, co-workers and I at campsite 2

Goat herder comes to our truck for lunch, they love our dried potatoes and rice

Turkish waterfalls for drink and wash, the word Turquoise comes from Turkish water from what I understand

    Merhaba Efendim....!!Nasilsiniz?

I lived in Izmir back in the mid 70's and loved it there. I miss the food and people. Regarding the hogs...I killed a 270 kilo hog while there but most were 175 kilos.

    Hang safe...gule gule!

Welcome from Utah, Johnny! Thank you for sharing the pictures. Looks like an amazing place. I've been trying to get an assignment to Turkey my entire career (been in the AF for 23 years now) but haven't been lucky enough yet. Six years to go and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my family and I can make it over there before I run out of time and opportunities. Take care.

    Welcome from Arizona, Johnny!

I really desire to travel to Turkey for a long time. As I have known that there are various places for different activities like swimming, kayaking, skinning. As I have heard about that from my friend who have traveled to here. And also I read about some nice travel possibilities in this article about Turkey Activity Guide.
So, I'm going to visit Turkey in the next autumn.
