    They're popular over here in Germany. Well, considering that hammock camping is far from mainstream. I think Exped is a German manufacturer, therefore it's easier and cheaper to go with one of their hammocks instead of ordering in the US.

    Personally, I haven't seen or tried any of their hammocks, yet. In addition to the Ergo, they also have two standard open hammocks.

    I haven't heard anything bad about the Ergo, providing that the people who were using them weren't larger than recommended. As far as I know, the Ergo is more on the small side. Exped says 1.95m is the limit, but it seems in reality it's more like 1.80m.

    While the concept is interesting (I get the impression that the lay is flatter than in a gathered end), I'm skeptical with regards direction of the hang. I don't think that you would be able to use a normal tarp with this hammock. Exped sells a special tarp for just this hammock. If you like it, fine. If you don't like it, you've got a problem.

    I personaly own an exped ergo combi and it is the best nights sleep that you can ever get. I have over 70 nights in it exped makes exellent products. they are made in swisserland you should get this hammock but if you are over 5 foot 11 it may be a tight fight
