2013 Spring MAHHA Summary and Video

    Donna here.....

A big thank you to all for coming. The weekend was great. We couldn't have ordered better weather...although, for me...the nights could have been a bit warmer!

Soundman counted 110+ campers...105+ hammocks and 5 tents. This number includes those hanging in sites in the family campground.
Edit...I forgot to add a camper...for a total of 111+ campers....one in a pop up camper in the family campground!

There were quite a few that came just for the day, Saturday.

[o]TTeR handed out 131 premade name tags, and 12 hand written at the hang. There were only 11 no shows....good considering he printed 131 tags!

2Q counted 114 adults and children in the group picture. The picture doesn't include those that couldn't stay for the dinner and raffle.

The Pig Roast was great...Thanks to CM Pig Out!
Thank you to all who brought food and supplies for the breakfast and dinner.

Thank you to all that contributed to the Raffle prizes. Pan will post on the money collected and disbursements.

The Pine Grove Furnace State Park management and staff were great...even with the size of our group!

2014 Spring MAHHA here we come!
The planned dates for next year are April 25th-27th. I will confirm as soon as the reservations can be made.

Please note...We inadvertently left [o]TTeR out of the credits at the end of the video. We want to thank him for the work and creativity with making the name tags.

This was a great hang! It was great being able to hang out with all of my old friends again and meet plenty of new folks. It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend and im fairly sure a great time was had by all in attendance. Many thanks to both Donna and Tim, also to the many other nameless helpers that make these events so wonderful! On a side note if anyone accidentally walked home with a second cook kit( cosists of: 10cm imusa mug and lid, a coozy, carbon felt windscreen, a fancee feast stove and also a piece of tinfoil) please let me know.

Sounds like this event is a good time. Maybe I will pencil it into my calender for next year. It's a bit of a drive for me to get to PA, but it definitely sounds worth it. Hope it's okay for a western Canuck to attend.

I posted this in the other thread, but it's worth re-posting here...

I took a lot of pictures, but this one was one of my favorites. How many hammocks can you spot? (click on the picture for a much larger version - you might have to click on it more than once to get it to zoom to full size in your browser window)

Thanks to everyone who made this such an awesome event. It was my first MAHHA, but hopefully won't be my last!

Terribly sorry I missed it, They fired two people at my office and demanded I work the weekend... I still had hopes of coming until I finished up at 7:30 pm in King of Prussia on a Saturday and realized to go home and grab my pack and get there was after 9pm... Really crushed.
There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

Just want to say I had a blast and thanks to everyone that helped make this happen. Looking forward to the next one. And I love my Titanium spoon I won.
Had a blast sitting around the campfire laughing for hours on end. Yall guys are hilarious. Just wanted to also say that the food was awesome. Thanks to those who spent all that time putting it all together. Hope to see yall again on future Hangs.

BTW, my Acurite actually worked this time and the record low for Sat night was 35F.

This was Logan's, my 2 year old son's, first hang and he had a blast.
