    the email says....

"Your package is on its way"

    WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Brandon! With a little luck (and fresh ponies from USPS) I will pick it up at the post office on my way out of town on Friday and have my first hang this weekend. If not, I will be looking forward to the unboxing when I get home from Mt Hood. Either way I'm a happy camper.

Great! When did you order? I've been waiting 3 weeks so I have a while to go still.

    Wow!!!!!

I received my Blackbird on 5/31 as I was heading out of town for the Timberline Marathon on Mt Hood over the weekend. Because of this, I did not get a chance to test it out ahead of time. Not a problem, set up was painless. I did have to reverse it to put the head end where I needed it. Still, I was lounging comfortably while the others were sorting out their tents. The weather was perfect, (overnight lows of 39* were forecast) I slept w/o a tarp. I also enjoyed the best nights sleep I have had in all my years volunteering at the races. Thank you, Brandon, Shug, Derek and to the other HF members. With your help, I had a great first hang!

    The Wait Begins...

Still waiting for my BB and tarp but while I have been waiting I ordered a new UQ and TQ and upgraded to a smaller backpack, a new solo wood stove and pot. Also been watching a bunch of Shug's video and made a couple of alcohol stoves playing around in the garage.
We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.

I've been using the solo stove for a little over a year now. Amazing bit of gear there. I sold all but one of my stoves because I love it so much. I kept one canister stove just in case I want to mix it up but haven't used it since I bought my solo stove. Good luck, you'll enjoy it

I feel ya guys. I made the biggest mistake, even though it was a cheap $45 hammock, I loved it. But did my research and had to have a BB so 2 days after ordering my BB I sold my el chepo to a friend thinking ill be laying in oh so sweet comfort soon! well soon turned into days and weeks then about 3.5 weeks later got my BB, then not to drag this out but I over looked not ordering biners with it so as I opened and wanted to test......... Instead I had to get back on the web and order dutch clips 5 days after my BB arived I got to set it up
