Need advice on cold weather setup

Looking to the experts on cold weather setup. I've hammocked many times but never below 25degrees. I have a trip planned that will be anywhere from 0-15degrees (low). Wind will be as much as 15mph (estimated). Normally I would try for a sub-zero bag and an underquilt but I probably won't have time to get those items. So I want to run my setup by you guys to see if it's overkill, not enough or should work. Packing all this gear is another story but I digress.

    Shelter: HH Ultralite Asym
    -undercover with undercover pad
    -overcover
    -thermarest prolite4
    -thermarest ridgerest (couple with above)

    Bag:
    -WM 20degree
-WM 35 used as a quilt on top of 20degree bag

    Clothes:
    -baclava
    -dome perignon cap
    -head to toe baselayer
-mtn hardwear compressor pants (puffy pants)
    -fleece pullover
    -down jacket
    -thick gloves

I planned to use the hot waterbottle trick plus trying to use rain gear and possibly a bag liner as extra undercover insulation.

Thanks for any and all advice. So should this work, do I need more, or is this overkill?

Warmth is really objective from person to person. Some people get cold rather easily and might need something rated past what they are taking it into. In the same respect we have some abominable snowmen on this site that can get into the 20s without even having bottom insulation. Also it is largely dependent on what you had for dinner that night as well. Stuffing youself on really fatty foods can make you much warmer than having a small modest dinner without much meat.

Yeah, I meant to add that I am muscling down a snickers bar each night for some fat content. As far as my range... I'd say I'm in the middle. Cold is an element I can get used to. I just want to make sure I'm not waking up the next morning as a block of ice.

Everyone is different. My friends and I got down to -13F with HH Exp with the SS + space blanket, NO over cover and good down sleeping bags. There was no wind and all 3 of us were fine throughout the night. We were wearing polypro underwear, wool socks and a fleece balaclava. I think you'll be plenty warm with what you have listed.

You can more than likely skip the 35º bag and just use the 20º bag with the puffy pants and put on your down vest/parka on or put it on backwards ... arms though the sleeves but the back on your chest, kinda like a quilt.
Bring extra socks to put on as well.
B say this if you want to lighten your load or reduce some bulk. with the topcover and all you should fare well in those temps.
Ultimatly do what you feel confident with.
Pads should be good with those two. Don't forget to get something under your shoulders.
OK then ... have a great time!

Great advice everyone, thank you. I think I'll leave the 35degree bag (how did you do the degree symbol... that's great) in the truck but bring it last minute if the last minute forecast warrants it. I think I'll swing by Walmart or Target and shoot for a wider foam pad to replace the ridgerest. Down jacket backwards is a great idea.

    That's for Mac OSX users.

    For PC users:
Hold down the "Alt" on your keyboard and type the numbers 0176 while you're holding down that key, when you release the Alt key the degrees symbol will appear.
