I've got some bridge ideas/designs I've worked on over the last year and while I've got an integrated net that I like, I really enjoy the thought and challenge of making a detachable one. going to have to give it a go myself!

I've been giving it some thought and I'm thinking of buying the BIAS bugnet and then doing some modifications to work with my bridge.

I've got some ideas for making one myself, but alas... I have not a sewing machine.

Those guys at BIAS are pretty handy and great to talk to. Even if you are considering doing your own Bridge Mods to the Buganator, I'll bet they could offer a bunch of help or offer to do it very cheaply.

Either way I know they'd like to receive input on this. Good Luck!

    Re: "Best" bugnet system?

I bet BIAS would help you put if you knew what you wanted in the bugnet...

Agreed. Talk to Bryan or Shane. Great guys to work with. They might make it for you if you ask.

This is my DIY bugnet, made with No-See-Um mesh. Top entry design, and works like a charm. I just tension the shock-cord at the top to keep it closed, and I need to ad a little piece of velcro to each side to secure the top flap. Not sure how well it would work for a bridge hammock, though; I've never tried! I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.

If you want to make it as light as possible but still have great bug protection you might want to take a look at the nanoseeum netting on zpacks website. Seems like it would work really well.

I just made one of these over the weekend. Works great and I used some left over fabric to make a stuff sack to store it in.
