    Mt May eastern ridge...Qld,Australia

Overnighter. Had all the intentions of completing a circuit of Mt May's north & south peaks,
camping in the secluded saddle between the two.
But during the descent of the n/east ridge I caught glimpse of more easterly ridge through the
eucalypt canopy that looked more interesting. Specifically for photo's of MT Maroon & Mt Barney at sunset & sunrise.
So retraced my steps back up to the summit again & dropped down onto the eastern ridge & found a place to
make camp in the dying light.

Front row & centre......the oncoming dawn over Mt Maroon

    To the right.......Mt Barney

Really had a hankering for pancakes & honey for breakie.....but had to settle for lentils & rice.

    On the way back out....

    Great for the soul,

I want to personally thank you for the story and the pictures... and frankly mate ... keep them coming.
There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    Thanks mbiraman,
The hat is the called the 'Territory', part of large range made by an aussie icon/ legend.....Akubra.
The Territory is named after our Northern Territory, one of our states....a big, wild, open land with plenty
of sun....hence the extra wide brim.
Here's the link for more info.

Beautiful land! I particularly like the shot of your cook pot with the mountains in the background.
