Any experience with Snugpak - Jungle Blanket as TQ

I stumbled across the Snugpak - Jungle Blanket and my interest was piqued based on the packed dimensions (advertised by snugpak). As the winter months (read as DIY season) are gone, I was thinking this may be a quick approach for a TQ. Add a drawstring channel and either grommets or "Velcro stuff" to fashion a foot box.

I have a snugpak mummy bag I use for a TQ now...but it takes up a lot of space in the cases on my bike. Just thought I would float this out and see if anyone has any experience with the this blanket before I order one and get to modifying.

I was using a Snugpak Jungle Bag for a TQ in 39 degree weather. It is rectangular and worked great.

    Snugpack: Left Hand/eight hand

I live in Miami, so the Snugpack looks like a good choice for warm weather.

One of the blurbs I read said that a bag with left hand zipper is easier for right-handed people. Not sure if this sounds right. It's $10 cheaper than the right-handed one elsewhere.

I'm right handed and have arthritis so there might be some stiffness in the morning Which would be best for me?

The jungle bag is a good pice of kit for the money, I think the temp rating is ambitious, but for it's intended purpose it is great. For only a little more than the blanket, the bag does everything the blanket does and more, and I think is a better build. The girth is a lttle less than 60", so keep that in mind.

On zippers, I think the view of some is that if you are right handed and sleep on your back, it's easier for the right hand to cross over and pull a zipper down on the left side. YMMV.

That's exactly what they said. Now, where the heck is the tape measure?

Snugpack Jungle Bag arrived today. sweet got from Amazon. $74 with free shipping.
Really pleased with it. Especially like the separate zippered opening at the foot end to cool off and avoid claustrophobic feelings. Opted for right-handed zipper

With so many people getting stranded in airports, I plan to take it in my carry-on bag. I always take a fleece travel blanket (ab $8 in Marshall's/TJMaxx. With stuff sack) but cold airports seem to be quite common: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/

MotoHanger: keep us posted if u get it and do the footbox mod.
