Looks like you guys had yourselves a GREAT time. It certainly was the PERFECT weekend for paddling!

No kidding!!! I pitched my kit under heavy cover under the assumption that the strong sunshine would just melt through my sil-tarp.
Five bites, all on the back of my right knee. Don't know if it was while I was in the Park or during the drive back but those drove me crazy for days!!! Other than than.. No bugs at all. That's usually the case so early in the season.
Definitely give it a shot. I've got some major cardio to do before the next one. Hope to see you guys next time.
Thanks guys, it was a really fun trip. It's always good to get into the interior and just paddle around for a couple of days. The chance of getting some early season lakers is always an added bonus.
Jiblets' Chinese steamed lake trout was amazing. He certainly set's quite a camp table. I think he's outdone himself this time, but that only means that next time... well we'll see. I have high hopes!
The WBBB was very nice. I still haven't dialed in the perfect "sweet spot" but I'm close. I can't wait to get out again!
Keep your eyes open for a mid summer and/or fall hang. Maybe we'll try something more conducive to a larger group. Somewhat of a conpromise between Valens and McIntosh.
Nice, where are you planning on going?
I couldn't have asked for better. This year has the making of an epic canoeing year! That hasn't alwats been the case though. Check out this picture from the archives of our tarp smokehouse when we actually christened the island Chicamoula.

Looks like everyone had a great time and I wish I could have been there. Hard to get time off with the new job and I haven't gotten outdoors since August!
Hopefully I'll see everyone and some new faces for the next one.
Wow just reading this now... looks like an awesome trip. Wish I could have gone, but don't even want to think about portaging a 16ft kayak 2500m.
