Better instructions on posting pictures

I have tried again to find the "ARROW nest to the attachment ICON" in order to click on it and add an image to my post, large, so it doesn't have to be blown up to view. Where can I find that arrow.
Also, I cannot figure out how you all choose just a phrase within another person's post and refer to it in your post. I only know how to add the entire post then add my comments.
Yes, I am slow. Thanks for your help. Mule

High light (Left click and drag over unwanted text) like ya do to copy, - and delete unwanted text.
Leave [ QUOTE = Mule;102068 ] At the beginning of Quote and [ /QUOTE ] At the end.
And there ya have it

I don't know how everyone else does it, but I put an after it to display the image full size.

Ex: http://www.whatever.com/thing.jpg[ /img]

Mule, the above posts are spot on. I will try to give a little more detail in this post, though.

To insert a full-size picture, either from the gallery or hosted on another site, the simplest way is to click the 'insert image' icon () on the toolbar above the text window. That will popup another window in which you either type or paste the URL of the picture you want to insert.

To make a 'partial quote' from someone's post, you first start by using the 'Quote' button. Then you simply edit that to remove that parts of the quote that you don't want, but be sure to leave the quote brackets at the top and bottom of the post, ala -
The quoted text.
. If you want to break down someone's post to respond to multiple portions of it individually, then after clicking the 'Quote' button, simply 'copy' their post. Then, you just paste it back in and remove the unwanted portions for each response.

To 'multiquote' multiple people's posts in one of your responses, you need to go through the thread and click the multipost button () beside every post you want to quote. Then, when you click the 'Post Reply' button at the bottom left of the thread, it will paste in all those you selected as quotes.

If this isn't clear, just let me know. I can work up a short tutorial (maybe even video) for each individual task that anyone needs assistance with.

I use Photobucket for hosting my pics. The automatically give you a link that you can use to insert pictures in forums.

Here's how I do it.
In the gallery there is a box "BB Image Code:" that contains all the link info. If I just copy and paste it "http://www.hammockforums.net/gallery/files/4/3/5/wbtee_for_td_thumb.jpg" (normally has the "[img]" & "" tags at the ends) I get this:

If I copy and paste, then remove the word "thumb" at the end I get this:

I will avoid typing if at all possible.
