I use my forum name for videos and on the trail but it was something that I gave myself. No "trail" name has been given as of yet.

My trail name was given to me by my niece. We were discussing my first A.T. section hike, when the topic of trail names came up, my niece looked at me and said they should call you fishbait. It had to do with me being bumped by a dogfish while fishing in the surf of Emerald Ilse. Nothing like a shark to make you get out of the water, I don't care how small it is.

A friend of mine who recently joined the forum and is about to hang for the first time was thinking about what forum name to use. He texted me that he was thinking about using "nut sack". Knowing him he certainly meant something to do with hammocks and not anatomy...I hope
Anyway he decided it may raise a few eyebrows and went with something less contraversal.

Trailname and Forum name is the same...I chose it for myself when I hiked The Long Trail in 2003, then decided to keep in for my SOBO AT thru-hike this year since it took only one tick bite to contract Lyme disease two years ago.
Here's a short video I recorded describing my goals for my 2013 AT SOBO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg0K0YDlFEE

TripWire because you set your guylines stretched across the trail on the white rocks hike-n-hang and we all kept tripping over them to get to our hammocks...was pretty funny actually to watch everybody trying to get around them including myself.

    Hey, it beats Kitchen-Sink right?

Good Times... can't wait for the next trip..
