    Buyers Remorse

Recently purchased a used hammock setup from an HF member and was surprised to find a set of Dutch Clips included.

Have been using them and really like how quick and easy setup/takedown is, especially when combined with a strap and cinch buckle system.

Naturally this kindled a need for additional Dutch-goodness and I placed an order with Dutchware yesterday morning.

Later in the day, after reading through the Dutchware sub forum here on HF, that's when it happened...buyer's remorse !!

    I realized I needed MORE DUTCHWARE !!

SO, I just finished placing my second order in two days and will probably look like an idiot as I check my mailbox several times a day until the packages arrive.

Liked the stuff so much that I am now outfitting my nephew who just wrapped his first year in college down in the beautiful Shenandoah Mts. around Harrisonburg. He has already caught the "get out and explore Virginia" bug that infected me during my years in Blacksburg.

I really hope you didn't come here expecting to get help. This place is like an anti-support group. Everyone's just an enabler. You have a serious issue and what do they do? They convince you to buy more gear!

Oh sure, it seems innocent at first until you go to the mailbox one day and it's full of packages you don't even remember ordering. Titanium toilet paper? Where'd that come from? Just when you think you're over your problem someone will post about something else that's cool. You'll know in your heart you don't need it but you won't be able to resist. That's because everyone else will be talking about how cool it is.

Before you know it you'll be selling plasma and standing on the side of the road holding a sign that says, "Will work for titanium." It's an ugly, vicious cycle. One day you'll wake up and wonder why you have a dozen hammocks, a half dozen types of spikes, countless stoves, etc.

    So good luck!

Reading this made my day. Hilarious. Cuben fiber toilet paper and anti-support group had me rolling. Totally agree.

Not sure Cuben would make good TP but it would be washable and reusable...

Given Dutch's level of service you probably will not need to check the mail too often.

So, so typical. Sigh. When will it all end?!

Is there a NEED for a Dutchwearaholic 12 step group? I seem to have at least two or three of everything.
