    I use 3mm Bluewater Nite Line for a variety of applications. I got 50' for $17 from REI to add to another 30' I already had around for tying up/staking out my Vertex tarp. I tied 3 half-hitch loops to the tarp guyouts and suspension rings for easy adjustments and small bowlines on the guyouts for the stakes. It's 6 oz heavier than the stock cordage but it'll do. It's great for hanging bear bags.
