    Hmmm - it's got potential! Just not sure how sturdy it might be with an off-center load? Last thing i wanna do is dump a flaming alkyd stove on the forest floor

    You'd want to keep the tension lines separated at the top (they'd naturally pull in together) and might get in the way. Maybe if they came around the back of the tree so they stayed at tree-width . . .

    I thought of that, but the more I thought about it the less I think it will be a problem... It needs testing...(time to go to the woods).

    I'd have the strap atached at both sides somehow so it is easier to set up.
