Yep, Clark NX-200. I have my custom-designed pocket-quilts in the pockets (sewn exquisitely by MrPrez).

with what you have listed I think that you will be just fine but it's a great way to see what will work and what wont. Might go ahead a turn heater on inside before you go out just so that you don't have to wait to long if you do get cold to warm up besides this is just a trial thing you dont have to run the heat every time you go out.

    have fun

if it is that cold stars should be out in full force.

    Just for giggles . . .

    Here are some pics.

This is where I set up my hammock the first night. This is at the end of the knoll that my shop is on, about 50 yards or so from the back of my shop.

Here's the shot of my cheapo thermometer. Looking at the pic, it looks like 8-9º. This is right before I unclipped the hammock and hauled it back into the shop.

The next day, I went on a hike with my neighbor (pictured here)

We hiked off of my property and onto the AT. Then up to a spot my neighbor referred to as "HighRock"

And then down to Hogback Ridge Shelter

    And hiker decorations

I knew Hogback was close to my property, but I had no idea it was that close. Even going slow and stopping to rest (cuz I'm outta shape), we made it from my shop to Hogback in less than 90 minutes (and the slowest part of that was bushwacking from my shop to the Pisgah boundary).

I will when we can actually move there!!
We've been fighting with the contractor who screwed up our house for 3 years now!!!

So just short trips to my studio for now.

But we do love it. It gets harder and harder to drive back to GA. The property up there is surrounded on the northern edges by Pisgah National Forest. The AT runs about 200 yards from my northeast corner. We're between Hogback Ridge Shelter and Sam's Gap.

    Just as an update:

I hung in my shop the last couple of nights.
First night, I used my new Exped Downmat 7 short. (Thanks, Angrysparrow)
It was much warmer than the Big Agnes pad I had been using.

And the second night I just used my pocket-quilts.
And they did quite well. I actually got a little overly warm that way.
The only downside to that under-pocket design is the small space between each pocket (where it's sewed down).
But last night in the mid-40s, it wasn't an issue.

    .
I wonder if you could sort of sew the pockets together so that it's almost as if it's baffled.

That's actually a pretty brilliant idea.
You'd have to be careful about the one pocket that the whole setup packs into, but . . . . .
    Very clever.

    Too bad I can't sew.

    Wow,

This is all good to know. I was considering a BA Insulated Air Core as a spare for when my wife occasionally agrees to come along or for the kiddo. Sounds like I will just pony up for another Exped.

If you like the short, you'd love the deluxe. I like the way it keeps the hammock open and the side away from me. You might not love the weight or packed size much though.
