Anyone have a source on the tubing or connector hubs? Anyone made anything similar? This appears to be a fairly slick way to get a lot of folks up.
It looks like the just kind of pressed the ends flat and drilled a hole for a bolt then bent them

Google " tensegrity"
A few members here have made those stands.

Check out this thread. I'm guessing it's similar in that they modified aluminum fence posts. Flattened, bent and drilled ends with a bolt through.
I'm not sure which I like more, the geodesic dome or this. Although this seems to be infinitely modular

These look like galvanized fence posts. Pound one end flat, drill a hole...

Those are definitely not tensegrity. Looks more like simple tripod and ridge line stuff more like the turtle dog stands. The trick is a smooth, easily attached hub system at does not collapse under weight.
While acknowledging the cool factor, it doesn't appear to do anything that 6 TD stands won't.
This sorta reminds me of tents that are marketed as "sleeps x". Well, yeah, you could, but why would you? I like my space...don't wanna camp in the Projects.

Except keep 6 kids in the same area....which is my primary goal with the scouts. I guess you could use the TDS in a similar fashion but would lose efficiency unless you started hanging 2 or 3 ridge poles off of a single TDS.
Anyways, it looks like it is a simple press and drill connection.
