There is no hot here at night, but the extra 1.1 ripstop cover I made will work as a sheet style top quilt. Simply a piece of 5 ft wide, 6 ft long hemmed piece of fabric that fits over the bottom end of the hammock like a Bias Buginator and goes up to the shoulders. The front sides have small pockets for stones to keep it in place above the top quilt I use. The stones can be eliminated and you can pull it around your shoulders.

+1 but has to be nearer 80 for me: poncho as undercover and coolmax bag liner as TQ. But that's usually only july & august round here. Those are good months to seek higher elevationssilk bag liner and poncho... check

I have a WB traveler 1.7 with a double layer. I sleep comfortably in the high 60s and low 70s with a piece of silk. I bought it for two dollars at a dime store; I think it was intended to be a flag of some type. It is blanket size and I can tuck it under my feet and shoulders. I feel comfortable with this arrangement in the backyard. I would not want to chance it in the great outdoors.

I might add, I usually wear shorts, a t-shirt and regular socks.
Wow, that seems like the best choice. With some backyard testing I can get this thing dialed in to its low temp edge.
Although 70 bucks for that sounds a bit on the steep side. I wonder if there are similar products with a different price that is easier to chew.
That sounds like the solution! And at those temperatures, I shouldn't need anything underneath me...but if I want too.....
Loki and others who have suggested a poncho - you mean just a poncho acting as a wind breaker, correct? That sounds like a good option as well.

Lots of factors, are you a cold or hot sleeper.....is it windy or not windy, cloudy or clear night.
I would rather have a UQ and TQ and not need it. Usually in the summer time I use a 1S UQ and a Military poncho liner as a TQ.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Which DriDucks poncho do you use, the single ply Emergency poncho, or the 3 ply DryDucks FroggToggs version?
