    pole mod for tadpole

I have been thinking about picking up a tadpole but I am curious about getting some sort of pole mod on it. The outside mod appears to be for tarps with two tie outs on each side and the pole pockets only appear to be an option on the OMW. I searched but did not find any threads on people adding pole mods on a tadpole. I know I could just get side pull outs added but would like to avoid extra line that I have to stake out that can be tripped on by the kids or me.

Is it worthwhile to do a pole mod on a tadpole or should I consider a bid daddy? Do they have an outside pole mod with 2 quick clips and one pole? Can I get pole pockets or tabs with grommet holes for a tadpole?

    Re: pole mod for tadpole

I don't think that is for the tadpole. It has two poles and four clips. The tadpole only has two side tie outs if you add them.

I would suggest contacting WL and see if they would work and if so, would sell it with only one pole. I've used my trek pole as a pull-out on the Tadpole. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=70745

i'd recommend pole pockets sewn at the center, though - since its a small tarp.

Thanks, I think the pole pockets would be my preferred way to go. I just was not sure if it made sense to do it on a smaller tarp.

I really like the pole pockets as an alternative to the WL 2 pole mod.
    What pole do you use?
I want to set this up on a WL BigDaddy

I decided that it made more sense to me to get this done on a big daddy tarp then a tadpole. Most seem to recommend the Easton aluminum .344 poles from www.questoutfitters.com
